I found this interesting, weird, etc. This Scott Wade guy "draws" on the rear windows of dirty cars. Quite a step up from the standard "wash me" that I've always stuck with.

And look - he's doing a Vermeer painting! Excellent pick. That being said, I'm desperately trying to overlook the fact that he chose Comic Sans for his website font. Quite unfortunate.

For those of you who know nothing about sports (which is certainly not me. I'd wither away without ESPN. Ask anyone.) there's a Jazz basketball game tonight. A rather big one. And thanks to the magical workings of Beau, we'll be right there in the action.
As previously blogged about, sometimes people think I resemble Becky from Full House. Kathleen has been known to remind people of Christine Taylor, and frankly, I think Vanessa couldn't look more like Claire Danes.
What does this have to do with the Jazz vs Lakers playoff series? It's easy - NBA lookalikes. As I've been watching these playoff games, certain players have begun to remind me of other people outside of the basketball world. Allow me to illustrate:
We'll just get this one out of the way: Kyle Korver looks way too much like Ashton Kutcher. I think we can all safely agree.

Next we have Luke Walton. Every time I see him all I can think of is Ben Affleck. Admit it - it's all you can see now as well.


Enter Paul Millsap. Though this one has been disputed, I still hold to the fact that he reminds me of Gary Coleman. After finding these two pictures of them, my opinion is cemented.


While glancing through the Laker website, I found this gem. I've never actually seen this Coby Karl fellow, but I can't deny that he has a striking resemblance to Clay Aiken. Or Greg Day from Ogden for those of you who know him.



And last, but certainly not least, we have Andre Kirilenko. Poke an eye out with his hair Kirilenko. My original pick for him was Curtis Stone from TLC's Take Home Chef. He also looks extremely similar to the "Russian dude" in Rocky IV. Take your pick.

This morning on the Today show, Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar announced they're expecting their 18th child. I'm not sure exactly why I'm posting about this, except for the fact that the family fascinates me. I'd love to be a fly on the wall of their home to observe how the "daily grind" flows.

I can only assume they're shooting for 19 kids because they're aware of the luck that the number brings. And if that IS the case, then I can appreciate it. Not imitate, just appreciate the 19.

Today I was told, yet again, that I look like Becky from Full House. (Ironic that she was married to Uncle Jesse? Agreed.)

This happens a lot*. It's actually kind of amusing to watch people go through the process of figuring out who it is I remind them of. Most often this includes #1 concentrated staring (which, by the way, is incredibly uncomfortable - I always feel so judged), #2 an overly pleased look when it finally hits them, and #3 excitedly announcing to me that I look like "Becky from Full House!" as if it's the first time I've ever heard it. And please know that I don't mean any of that unkindly - it's genuinely entertaining to me.

I started wondering something today. If I really do look like the Becky back when she was in her 20's, does that mean I'll look this like when I'm 45ish?

* I'm still deciding if I agree. Sometimes I can sort of see it, but other times I think people see a tiny bit of resemblance and then run with it. And if that's the case, what about me looks remotely similar to Charlize Theron? We do both have blonde hair. I feel like that's close enough to be legitimate.

I rarely win anything. When I was younger, I did win a Boy Who Could Fly kite through a coloring contest, but that's pretty much the highlight of my luck. I just don't have much of it .... but I think things might be changing.

We had a Cinco de Mayo potluck at work today. While everyone ate, a jar of beans was passed around and we were to guess how many were in it. The person closest to the actual number would win a cute little cactus. As I'm sure you've already figured, I won.

After over two weeks of being cooped up in hospitals, Riley is now home! He was able to go home Friday and has been doing pretty well since. He still needs antibiotics three times a day through his PICC line, but that's a small price to pay in order to sleep in his own bed. We're so happy he's home.

I’m getting a lot of questions on how Riley is doing so I figured I would update everyone through my blog. As most of you know, he was moved from the Brigham City hospital down to Primary Children’s last week so it’s helpful that he’s now in such a child centered environment. His kidneys are definitely functioning better than when they first arrived. At this point, his blood count is high so they’re watching for infection with hopes of doing a CAT scan as soon as his kidneys can handle it.

Yesterday he had a visit from a therapy dog named Jazzi which he really enjoyed. And today he got his staples removed – all 25 of them! Still no word on when he’ll be able to go home. He needs to be able to keep solids down.

Riley has a CarePage where my sister is posting updates so feel free to check it out. All I can say is that my nephew is the bravest kid I know. He’s been through a lot these last couple of weeks and has handled it all better than most adults would. He definitely deserves all the soda and lemon-berry slushes he wants when this is finally over!

Hey, it's been a pretty good week. Why? I'll tell you.

• General Conference followed by Hawaiian Haystacks for Sunday dinner.
• My longest run ever on Monday {This deserves an exclamation point because it was done on a treadmill and was horribly boring. So .... !}
• Found a great new song: Just Say the Word by Josh Kelley. iTunes has the acoustic version which I think is the better one.
• Tuesday's display of Beau's wide variety of unusual facial expressions.
• Wednesday's white-out explosion at work.
• Made dinner two nights in a row. That's right - TWO. Which is big considering my weekday dinner generally consists soup, Raisin Bran, or Kathleen's uneaten leftovers from the weekend before.
• Accidentally putting my lock on the wrong locker at the gym, thereby locking up someone else's jacket and bag. Luckily the gym staff recognized the lock as mine and let me know so I could just move it instead of them cutting it off.
• Celebrated a birthday at Chili's on Thursday and at the last minute remembered that I had a gift certificate. Forgotten gift certificates are almost as good as finding money in the pocket of an old coat. Depending on the amount, of course.
• These two cards that I found on this blog compliments of iMatt. Pretty good site full of funny stuff

• Ordering tamales from Victor's Tires in honor of Friday. Except they got part of our order mixed up and I ended up with hot hot hot sauce which nearly burned my tongue off. But I made it through like a champ.
• I can see the sun today so I wore capris.
• Riley lost another tooth! Good thing the Tooth Fairy is going to bring him $50, right Jen?

To help get you in the spirit, the cursor turns into a tickling feather when you run the mouse over it. I feel bad for the poor little guy sportin’ his trendy mohawk and I heart Cake t-shirt. And the depressed look on his face hardly makes me want to tickle him until he barfs all over. But on the other side of it ... 2 Nanos? Tempting.
