Such a sweet little thing!

Spring has been good to us! In April we welcomed Kinley Anne to the family followed by sweet Emery in May. Aunt Jess = very happy.

Now this was one fun couple! I had to smile during the shoot each time they'd incredulously say "I can't believe we're actually doing engagement pictures!" It didn't take long to see that they just really love being with each other. Which only strengthens my resolve that best friends make for the best couples :)

 

 

 

The First of Many:

Springtime downtown has got to be one of the most beautiful things. White blossoms everywhere and that crisp spring smell in the air. And Anna and I have this in common: we love to take walks and take pictures. Usually at the same time. So of course we ended up at the Capitol where we hit the tail end of the beautiful blossoms.

Karlee // Expecting

So awhile ago, as in 10ish years ago, we were at Thanksgiving dinner with our extended family. Karlee and I were in the kitchen cleaning up and we started joking about being pregnant. Then we started taking pretend maternity pictures because ... well, I don't know. Just curious to see what it would look like, I guess. We predicted that this is what Curlie would look like:

 

I considered including my pretend maternity picture, but then I saw it again and realized that no one else should see it. Ever. Mostly because of the excessive eyebrow overplucking stage I was in at the time. But Curlie? Nice! Pretty much a bump on a log. Fast forward to the present: were we right about her "pregnancy look"? I think the real thing looks good on her!

I can already tell that this baby is gonna be super smart.

Real-pregnant Curlie looks a little less basketbally and a bit more baby girlish. Does she just look so happy? I can't wait until April when we get to meet that cute 'lil thing!
