SUNDANCE 2011

This was taken about 30 minutes before James Franco graced the streets of Park City with his presence. And guess who missed it? THIS GIRL DID. I missed seeing that beautiful face all because my feet were cold (to be fair, they were numb). I can only imagine he was as bummed about it as I was. Yeesss, that's right.

I adore my nieces and nephews. Have I mentioned that before? What? A few kagillion times? Oh, sorry about that (except not really). Hey! Kambs turns six next month! She’s one of a kind (seriously) and I love her for that. She’s creative and really smart. I want her to always stay excited and inquisitive and spunky. And as she grows up I don’t want her to let anyone, especially herself, make her believe that she or her ridiculously adorable freckles aren’t good enough. Cause I think she’s perfect just the way she is (cue Bruno Mars song?). Especially with a nose crunching giggle like she has.

Be honest - those little freckles make you smile a little. Hope she doesn’t ever try to bleach them away like Karlee someone else in the family once did. *tisk*tisk*

So ... Marmie and Dad got a new laptop. Guess what program it has?

I had to take some time and try it out for them. You know, to make sure it works right and stuff.

One of my first pictures of the new year. 2011! (Do yourself a favor and ignore the creepy man on the upper right hand side.) It seems like time is flying by so quickly and I've no idea how to slow it down. But in the midst of what often feels like organized chaos, I know I've been so blessed this year. Saw my family grow, trained for and ran a marathon, met some great new people, became closer to old friends, visited some new places, moved more than I wanted to, and had more than a few moments of trying, failing, and trying again. As we all do in this little thing called LIFE. Overall, I feel good about the things I've learned this year--even if most of those things were unintended.

I have high hopes for the new year. In the past I've allowed myself to get carried away with my resolutions: too many, too big, too fast. A recipe for failure, as I've discovered. I won't bore you with my narrowed down 2011 resolutions. But suffice it to say that I've given it a lot of thought this week and believe them to be things which will bring some positive things into my life as well as those I'm close to. And the best part? They're 100% doable. Difficult at times, I'm sure to find out, but definitely doable.

So. Here we go. Fingers crossed for a memorable and fulfilling 2011. Happy New Year everyone!

Merry Merry

I love every second of Christmas. Seriously. It's by far my favorite holiday and below are just a few of the reasons why. This month has been packed with pretty music, good food, sparkly lights (four stops by Temple Square anyone?), and good quality family time. Oh and WAY too much chocolately goodness, but hey - it's the holidays so let's just forget about that part. I'm a bit sad it's all coming to an end for the year ....

This kid is, well, um, I don't know. Seen him all over the internet lately?

Oh my, right? But the few times where I'm not weirded out I kinda love it! Especially when he casually pushes up his glasses. And if you go to YouTube you'll see that there's plenty more that that came from. This internet sure is a strange place sometimes. Oh, and can I tell you just how much I love that song? Not so much Rihanna, but that song makes me run twice as fast.

To offset this I feel the need to post something that makes me happy instead of confused. So please enjoy a little of my latest crush - Bruno Mars!
