This kid is, well, um, I don't know. Seen him all over the internet lately?

Oh my, right? But the few times where I'm not weirded out I kinda love it! Especially when he casually pushes up his glasses. And if you go to YouTube you'll see that there's plenty more that that came from. This internet sure is a strange place sometimes. Oh, and can I tell you just how much I love that song? Not so much Rihanna, but that song makes me run twice as fast.

To offset this I feel the need to post something that makes me happy instead of confused. So please enjoy a little of my latest crush - Bruno Mars!

How 'bout that early Thanksgiving blizzard? My nephew Trace told me that he must have blinked and missed it. Yeah I'll second that. But since the epic Utah Blizzard of November 2010 decided not to show we were able to do some pictures of my sister and her cute family.

Too bad we only lasted 10 minutes cause of the cold. No really, just 10 minutes. Too bad little Easton was more entertained by the ducks at the park than his Aunt Jess. I mean, c'mon - what's more entertaining: some lame-o ducks flapping their wings and pooping everywhere or awesome Aunt Jess with a camera glued to her face all.the.time.? Easton sweetie, you just wait -- I'm an AWESOME aunt ... once you're old enough to tell me what your favorite kind of cookie is.

First Shanna, now Michelle. Seems I'm just slowly making my way through all past and present roommates :) This day was cold and windy. Really windy. It's a small miracle we weren't blown away but Michelle was a good sport and braved it all.

Then we rewarded ourselves with burgers and fries from Five Guys. Cause In-N-Out is overrated. There, I said it. And I can back it up: three times I've found hair in my fries. THREE TIMES, GUYS. And no, it wasn't my hair. Of course, all three times it was at the Las Vegas In-N-Out so that might explain things a bit. That town isn't exactly the shining example of cleanliness.

Aaaand speaking of Las Vegas, guess who's coming back next spring? Celine! You betcha I'll be there this time.

THANKSGIVING 2010

Another wonderful year of organized chaos. Well, minus the organized part.
But isn't that why we love it?

This is Kristen. Kristen is a real patient person. Even when it comes to sitting at the park in the cold for hours after someone stole my stuff, car keys included. While I went to a nearby store to make some calls (thank you sweet guy at Best Buy!) Kristen volunteered to stay and guard my car just in case they came back to steal it. Now there's a good friend.

Hey! It snowed last night!

The Swap

So I have this mirror. This ginormous mirror that I spotted in Kristin's basement awhile back. She told me to just take it, but it was too big to just "take" so we arranged a swap: her mirror for some photos of her kids. To be honest, I still kinda think I got the good end of the entire deal. A fantastic mirror plus a chance to take more pics? Yeah, I think so.

It was a beautiful morning and a lot of fun! I sure like our swaps, Kristin :)

What qualifies this as a Photo of the Week? Well, it was the last photo I took right before realizing I didn't have my camera bag with me. Soon to find out that it was stolen. Along with my all my other lens, photography extras, phone, and keys. Awesomeness, right? Sucks but could have been a lot worse. And I guess that's life.

Shanna Banana

Shanna's real pretty. Which is why I'm glad she's always so willing to let me take pics of her. We did these one morning at Memory Grove -- coincidentally the same morning the park takes care of all their yard work. It felt like for each picture we were dodging lawn mowers and weed wackers so the fact that we made it out alive counts as a success to me.

Oh, and if your name is Duncan and you're on a television show called The Buried Life, please email me cause I have a message for you from Shanna. Mainly that SHE LOVES YOU AND YOUR BEACHY HAIR AND IS WILLING TO RELOCATE TO CANADA. That's all.

And as a side note, I sure do love downtown this time of year. The leaves were crunchy and bright and spilling all over the ground. Pretty awesome. Sometimes I really miss living there. Sunday walks around temple square ... running around the capitol and through Memory Grove ... it still just feels like home. Good thing I'm close enough to still enjoy it, even if I'm not right there in the thick of it. Lucky girl.
